These celebrations... I often don't really get their reference. Especially back in the day. Releases are kinda blurry. Is it the day the first customer got one? The day it was officially presented to the press?
The McLaren P1 for example... McLaren wasn't even allowing Journalists to touche it when some customers were already getting deliveries. Same for the new M3/M4.

It's the day it was officially unveiled, AFAIK. It definitely won't be the day they give it to journos. They only THINK they're that important.

But "official unveil" is kinda blurry, too. I mean... was the Official unveil of the P1 that concept they showed in Paris in 2012 or the Production version in Geneva 2013?
